Speedwolf!

Speedwolf will be hitting Baltimore in March on their 'One Nation Under the Wolf' tour. Came up with this flyer for He Wang, check out the event page on facebook. Monkeys work in most any application as far as I'm concerned. Full image below:

Superchrist!

Superchrist is coming to Baltimore! I really dig Superchrist and was excited when I found out they were stopping in Baltimore on their 'Storm of Shit Tour'. This is a great lineup and my friends in Shokkher are among the opening acts. I made the above poster for the gig. I am pretty happy with the turnout, though I worked pretty quickly as I wanted to turn it around in a jiff. I've always thought we had one of the cooler flags in the union and have incorporated it into some of the Nightsbridge graphics as well.

Anyway, go see Superchrist!

Baba Yaga

This is a cropped version of a print I made as a Christmas gift this year. It's based on a goofy Russian children's movie called Mop3ko (Morozko, I guess.). I focused on the most excellent Baba Yaga and threw in a few more items from the film and Russian folklore. The tree monster on the left side, for instance, was from the movie but, the glowing skulls (from Russian folklore) were not. Of course I had to include Baba Yaga's house on chicken legs.

The piece was initially inspired by a somewhat octagonal/rectangle mirror I had found at a Goodwill store. I had a piece of glass made for 10 bucks and the piece was complete. The finished product is below.
